Our Matching Process
It’s crucial for both you and the children you care for that you’re a suitable match. Placing a child with you who isn’t a good fit can add to the disruption and instability they’re already experiencing, when foster care should do the opposite.
At Bespoke Fostering, we believe in the power of relationships. By building strong bonds, we can achieve the best outcomes. This philosophy extends to our matching process as well. We take a very personal approach, getting to know you as well as possible to understand what type of fostering is best for you. We have a dedicated placement director that will oversee the matching process and a point of contact for our Foster Carers.
Having long gaps between child placements can be frustrating. Not only are you unable to help a vulnerable child, but your source of income also stops.
However, at Bespoke Fostering, we receive numerous referrals due to our strong relationships with local authorities across the country. They trust us to achieve long-term success, and as such, we’re often at the top of their list when they’re looking to find a suitable home for a child. The UK care system is in crisis with children needing stable homes outweighing the number of foster carers the UK have.
If you’re feeling isolated from your fostering community, it might be time to join an agency that fosters a strong sense of family and develops relationships between staff, social workers, and foster parents.
Feeling like you belong is an important aspect of any job, especially in foster care, it’s vital to feel like you’re part of a fostering family that cares about you and wants to support you. Here at Bespoke we pride ourselves on our family values and sense of community within our own agency.
Enhanced Skills Through Training
Access to a diverse range of training courses enables you to broaden your skills, knowledge, and experience, positioning you to be an amazing foster parent. If your current fostering provider lacks a strong emphasis on training and career development, it may be worth considering a switch to one that prioritises these aspects.
Importance of Career Development The development of training for foster carers is essential not only for the personal growth of the carers but also for the well-being and development of the children they care for. By investing in training, Bespoke foster parents can enhance the overall effectiveness and stability of placements, ultimately leading to better outcomes for children in care.
While we understand that money isn’t the primary motivation for choosing to foster, it is a professional career that deserves appropriate financial recognition. The work of fostering can be both challenging and emotionally demanding, and adequate compensation is essential.
Exploring Fostering Allowances:
Fostering allowances can differ significantly between agencies, so it’s important to research various options. Take the time to speak with different agencies to understand the financial support available, including additional benefits such as paid respite, holiday allowances, and birthday allowances. Here at Bespoke Fostering we offer a competitive fee schedule and will match your current fostering fee if not increase your fee. Speak with us today and find out more
Investing in the Child’s Future:
At our agency, we believe that providing a generous allowance is crucial. It ensures that the children in your care have the best opportunity to reach their full potential. By recognising the importance of financial support, we can enhance the fostering experience for both carers and the children they nurture.
